Nationwide Traffic Inspections: 44 Vehicles Impounded

Recently conducted nationwide traffic inspections yielded significant results. Yesterday, traffic teams from the General Directorate of Police inspected 2,804 drivers, resulting in the impoundment of 44 vehicles. Additionally, a total of 6 drivers were arrested for various reasons.

Increase in Traffic Violations

According to a statement from the Police Press Office, various traffic violations were identified during the inspections. A total of 402 drivers were reported to initiate legal proceedings. Notable violations included speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Reported Violations

• 159 drivers were caught speeding above the legal speed limit.
• 34 drivers were reported for driving under the influence of alcohol.
• 3 drivers faced charges for driving without a license and insurance.
• 11 drivers were reported solely for driving without insurance.
• 3 drivers were warned for using their mobile phones while driving.
• 9 drivers were found driving without seat belts.
• 1 driver was reported for driving a vehicle that had not been inspected.
• 30 drivers were caught driving without a registration certificate.
• 1 driver was reported for reckless driving.
• 1 driver was charged with ignoring traffic signals.
• 3 drivers faced charges for not obeying traffic signs and signals.
• 2 drivers were reported for riding without protective helmets.
• 1 driver faced legal action for violating light regulations.
• 3 drivers were caught driving vehicles without operating licenses.
• 1 driver was arrested for not complying with a police stop order.
• 140 drivers were reported for other general traffic offenses.

  These inspections are stated to be organized to enhance safety on the roads and ensure compliance with traffic rules. Ongoing inspections aim to contribute to accident prevention and enhance road safety.
