A birthday celebration in Girne turned tragic when a dispute escalated into a murder. The incident resulted in the death of 40-year-old Nizam Allanazarov.
Dispute That Marred The Evening
According to reports, a group of 7-8 friends gathered in an apartment on the top floor of a building to celebrate. As the night went on, the festive atmosphere shifted into a dispute that quickly spread to the building’s parking lot.
As the argument intensified, a 37-year-old named R.A. was stabbed first. Injured, R.A. fled the scene and took refuge in a nearby market, approximately 100 meters away. There, witnesses provided first aid before he was transported to the hospital.
Second Stabbing Incident and Consequences
However, following R.A.’s transfer to the hospital, a second stabbing occurred in the same area. This time, Nizam Allanazarov was the target, suffering a stab wound to the neck and tragically dying at the scene.
The parking lot of the building where the incident took place was found to have numerous traces of blood. Local residents experienced significant panic following the event. The community reported that they promptly notified the police and medical teams, but some witnesses claimed that the ambulance arrived later than expected.
According to an official statement from the Police Press Office, the murder occurred around 1:30 AM. Information from Girne Akçiçek Hospital indicated that Nizam Allanazarov’s body was sent to Nicosia for an autopsy in the morning. R.A., who was hospitalized in serious condition, reportedly underwent 18 stitches and has been discharged under police supervision.
A total of 7 individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident, and the suspects are expected to appear in court tomorrow. The investigation is ongoing and continues to explore all aspects of the case.
