An incident in Nicosia involved 21-year-old M.V., who struck another individual during an altercation, leading to a ruptured eardrum. The event occurred on September 6, 2026, around 5:55 PM. M.V. punched B.I. twice in the head without any apparent reason.
Following the incident, the injured B.I. was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The police reported that two separate ruptures were found in B.I.’s left eardrum, indicating serious injury. In light of these developments, M.V. was arrested on September 7, 2026, under a warrant issued by the Nicosia District Court.
During the court hearing, the police confirmed that all necessary statements regarding the defendant had been collected, and medical reports were secured. It was also noted that the investigation was ongoing and that the defendant’s influence on the incident had completely ceased.
The court decided to release M.V. pending trial. However, it was specified that he must not leave the country and must deposit 50,000 TL in cash as bail. Additionally, a guarantor was required to sign a bond of 750,000 TL.
