The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Youth Organization held its 21st Ordinary Assembly yesterday in the KTAMS hall, taking significant steps for the youth. The event, themed “Get Moving Youth”, garnered substantial support from members of the CTP-affiliated youth organization and prominent figures from the party. During the assembly, Ismail Barbaros was re-elected as the president of the youth organization.
Election Results and Activities at the Assembly
The assembly was attended by CTP General Chairman Sıla Usar İncirli, General Secretary Mehmet Kale Kişi, and various members of parliament. Members of the Youth Council were elected, and representatives from the EDON Youth Organization also contributed their support throughout the event. After speeches at the assembly, activity reports and financial reports were presented. Following the introduction of candidates, elections were held for the Youth Organization Presidency and Youth Council.
The presidium gathered under the chairmanship of Mustafa Sipahi, with Hüseyin Kısaoğlu serving as secretary, joined by Devrim Ayaeş, Bener Erkmen, and Ezgül Babahan. Additionally, the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) sent a message to the assembly, emphasizing solidarity.
Attention Paid to Youth Policies
In her speech, General Chairman Sıla Usar İncirli emphasized the importance of CTP’s youth movement. She stated that policies aimed at young people have been carefully crafted, expressing the challenges they face in finding a place, shelter, and employment in the Republic of Turkey. She promised that in the future public authority, the youth will have a more significant role.
After being re-elected, Ismail Barbaros summarized the work undertaken in the past. He highlighted efforts to increase youth participation in the organization and the significance of rural organization. Barbaros noted that the struggle for peace and resolution in Cyprus can only be strengthened through the collective will of the youth.
Barbaros affirmed that youth policies are prepared, focusing on steps to be taken regarding entrepreneurship and employment. He called on the youth for organized struggle, symbolizing determination in this fight.
New Youth Council and Monitoring Board Members
The CTP Youth Council consists of names such as Adil Öztürk Mercimekçi, Ahmet Köseoğlu, and Aysel Amir, while the Monitoring Board includes young figures like Baran Aydemir and Şerife Gülderen. This new council will play a critical role in voicing the demands and issues of the youth.
While the assembly is expected to be a turning point for youth, the CTP aims to make significant changes with its youth policies. The establishment of platforms to amplify the voices of young people was underscored.
