President Tufan Erhürman stated that necessary steps must be taken to ensure that young people can complete their university education in a more effective and smooth manner. In this context, he emphasized that creating suitable conditions for graduates to stay or return to their own country is extremely critical.
Erhürman warned that if these conditions are not met, there could be a significant gap in the existence of the Turkish Cypriot community, expressing that young people have a great contribution to the future.
The Role of Youth in the Congress
President Erhürman attended the Turkish Cypriot University Students Congress and addressed criticisms regarding the youth’s indifference to social issues. He noted that although these evaluations have taken shape over many years, the importance of youth participation has not diminished.
