Details of the Wolf’s Den Operation
In the Inonu region, a police operation named “Wolf’s Den” resulted in the seizure of a total of 1 kilogram and 500 grams of cannabis-type drugs. This operation was carried out in collaboration with the Nicosia Police’s Crimes Prevention Branch and the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Department.
During the raid conducted at around 6:30 PM yesterday, police reported the arrest of two individuals using the drugs. The arrested individuals have been identified as O.G.K. (21) and Y.Ö. (22).
Other Drug Operations in Nicosia
Law enforcement teams also carried out another drug operation in central Nicosia, discovering 165 prescription pills in the vehicle of a suspicious individual named Ö.D. (18) in a market parking lot.
Additionally, searches conducted on an individual named S.G. (19) yielded approximately 5 grams of cannabis and 9 prescription pills. At the residence of another individual named Y.T. (27), 1,400 prescription pills were found. All three of these individuals were arrested by the police.
In Kyrenia, searches aimed at finding drugs led to the seizure of 6 grams of methamphetamine and a precision scale. In this incident, B.G. (32) and N.P. (34) were arrested. Meanwhile, two separate drug-related incidents occurred in Gönyeli and Türkmenköy, resulting in the arrests of E.A. (20) and İ.M. (22).
The police confirmed that detailed investigations into all incidents are ongoing.
