A severe storm and heavy rainfall in the Iskele region have had negative impacts on residents. Particularly, strong winds caused damage around the Altınova-Ağıllar Hunting and Shooting Club building and created problems in the nearby social housing area.
In the social housing area of Kuzucuk, a small-scale fire broke out due to the collapse of electric poles caused by the severe wind. The fire was extinguished by the responding teams before it could spread. However, during this intervention, an explosion occurred in the underground water line.
Following the explosion, it was necessary to temporarily stop the water flow in the area so that the malfunction could be fixed and repair work could continue. Teams from the Iskele Municipality have arrived in the area to conduct damage assessment and ensure safety, continuing to take necessary precautions.
