The Fire Department, affiliated with the General Directorate of Police, undertook significant efforts between August 3-9. During this period, teams intervened in a total of 10 fires and 21 different incidents. As a result of the fires, material damage was estimated at approximately 1.6 million TL.
Causes and Features of the Fires
According to the statement made, it was noted that four of the fires were caused by short circuits from electrical sources. The other fires may have resulted from cigarette butts thrown without extinguishing them, sparks from electricity wires touching each other due to the wind, and sparks from power tools igniting dry grass.
The fire report also shared details of the incidents. Among the fires were vehicle fires, waste and dry grass fires, as well as a warehouse fire, a hay bale fire, and a house fire. This variety demonstrates how fires can occur from different causes.
