In a drug operation that took place in Nicosia, Nigerian M.O.O. (E-43) was apprehended with 350 grams of cannabis and stated that the cost of the drugs was 1,500 Euros.
The incident occurred on September 1, 2026, during an operation conducted by the Crime Prevention Unit on Küre Street. The suspect admitted to acquiring the illegal substance from an individual before his arrest. The police announced that M.O.O. was found with a precise scale that had traces of drugs on it.
The detained Nigerian indicated that he purchased the cannabis material for 400 grams. The police stated that the materials have been sent to the laboratory for analysis, but no results have been received yet.
Emphasizing that the investigation process is ongoing, the police also mentioned that the footage from cameras will be examined, and other individuals are being sought as well. Consequently, it was reported to the court that there is a need for the suspect to remain in custody for 6 days.
The court approved the arrest request and decided that M.O.O. should remain in police custody.
