In a tragic incident that occurred in Alayköy, 49-year-old E.T. stabbed her husband to death while he was sleeping. Following these accusations, it has been reported that the suspect underwent a psychiatric evaluation at the Barış Mental Health Hospital. E.T. was granted an additional 8-day detention period by the court.
The murder, which took place on August 22, 2026, occurred in E.T.’s home. The suspect used a 25 cm knife taken from the kitchen to stab her sleeping husband, Cumali İsmail Taşdemir, a total of 30 times in the neck, waist, and back. Investigations revealed that five of these thirty wounds were fatal in nature.
