He emphasized that, after the incident, he hugged everyone he encountered, including government officials, to express his condolences. He mentioned that he felt it necessary to respond to the negative comments that arose after the photo circulated on social media.

He expressed his reaction to the claim that the photo, which was later circulated, was a product of ‘artificial intelligence’ by social media users. Erhürman conveyed that facing such an allegation was thought-provoking for him.
Erhürman stated, “Anyone who knows me wouldn’t think I’m ashamed of hugging people and saying ‘my condolences.'” He stressed the alleged manipulations further in his remarks. He continued by highlighting that all these events placed significant responsibility on him. The President noted that he and his team were among those who felt this painful process most acutely and he is striving with all his strength to understand societal concerns.
While the losses and pain resulting from the accident remain his primary agenda, he mentioned that he is also aware of what transpired and who did what during this process. He expressed his belief that a more sensitive attitude towards the pains is necessary, noting that such discussions could overshadow the actual suffering.
Concluding his statements, the President expressed, “I feel ashamed to have to make such a statement amidst so much pain.” He emphasized that responsibilities concerning such incidents have always been of utmost importance under his administration.
