Addressing Provocations
President Tufan Erhürman drew attention to the Greek side’s efforts to provoke the Turkish Cypriot people. He stated that they will not be provoked in response to such actions, will not succumb to anger, and will maintain their calm demeanor.
In his statements, he highlighted the evolving situation alongside the visible determination of the Turkish Cypriots for a solution. He called for patience, calmness, and determination in this regard, emphasizing that this patience should not be wasted.
Unity Against Provocations
Erhürman noted that with the end of the comfort zone, various provocations could emerge that could undermine their goals. He also mentioned attempts to cancel festivals to prevent Turkish Cypriot youth from interacting with the world.
In his remarks, Erhürman stressed the importance of reaching out to the international community and diplomats, expressing that the visibility of the Turkish Cypriots needs to be increased. Ultimately, he stated that the Turkish Cypriot people will continue to move forward on the path to a solution in peace and unity.
