Election Preparations by UBP
The National Unity Party (UBP) held a meeting with the participation of deputies and organization heads of the Nicosia District Organization, where they evaluated their field activities for the upcoming elections and outlined their strategies. At the meeting, election activities to be carried out with the participation of all organizations in Nicosia were comprehensively discussed.
In a statement made by UBP, it was emphasized that this meeting marks the beginning of the election preparations for the organizations in Nicosia. It was expressed that in the future, they would meet with other party leaders to listen to field expectations and determine a common roadmap.
Emphasis on Supporting Aktunç
At the meeting, UBP Secretary-General Ahmet Savaşan highlighted the importance of unity and solidarity within the party during the election process. Savaşan expressed that they are collectively supporting Mehmet Aktunç, the candidate for Mayor of Nicosia, demonstrating a strong and determined alignment within UBP.
Savaşan noted that Aktunç would bring new energy to Nicosia and present robust projects to the public. He mentioned that Aktunç attracted attention with exciting goals during the meeting and stated that the party has formed a strong unity around Aktunç.
“We believe that Aktunç’s vision and desire to win will initiate a new era in Nicosia,” Savaşan stated. He added that UBP’s organization would contribute more strength to the upcoming activities in this context, and that their unity would continue to grow as they work together with deputies and organization heads.
Savaşan expressed his belief that their unity and alignment on goals during the election process would enhance UBP’s success, stressing that they would secure a first-place position in both general and local elections.
