Prime Minister Ünal Üstel visited the Güzelyurt region to address the adverse effects of natural conditions. In this area, where severe hail and storms caused significant damage, Üstel conducted on-site inspections and conveyed support messages to citizens.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Üstel, Hakan Balaban, the President of the Civil Defense Organization, and the Disaster and Emergency Management Committee activated their emergency plans following the natural disaster. Crisis Management Centers in the relevant districts gathered meteorological data and field information to implement necessary measures.
Developments after the disaster were monitored throughout the day under the directives of Prime Minister Üstel. Evaluating the damages in Güzelyurt on-site, Üstel announced that the Disaster and Emergency Management Committee had started working effectively. The government aims to expedite damage assessment efforts to resolve issues promptly.
Üstel expressed gratitude for the absence of casualties in the events. He added that the government would take the necessary steps to compensate for the damages as quickly as possible.
“Our only consolation in these incidents is that there were no casualties. We will evaluate the rest as a government and heal the wounds as soon as possible,” said Üstel, assuring citizens of support.
