Barçın expressed that the figures mentioned by Taçoy provide significant insights into the parties’ standings. Referring to the UBP MP’s comments suggesting that CTP will be the clear frontrunner, Barçın said, “Mr. Taçoy is encouraging us to say CTP will come to power with these numbers.”
Debates on UBP’s Vote Share
Meanwhile, Taçoy’s insistence that UBP’s vote share will not drop below 28% has sparked discussions, prompting Barçın to argue that it has become necessary to perform some mathematical calculations. Barçın stated, “If you subtract 3 from 30, you are left with 27. So, the claim that UBP will be below 28% is interesting. I find it hard to understand this contradiction.”
Barçın emphasized that Taçoy’s remarks provided unexpected data for CTP. He also highlighted an instance during a television program where Taçoy claimed that UBP would not fall below 28% even in the worst-case scenario, and afterwards asserted that the party’s vote share could rise to about 35%.
