The Interfresh Eurasia 2026 Fair in Izmir continues to serve as a platform for Turkish Cypriot producers to showcase their products to international industry representatives. With the participation of the Republic of Cyprus as a partner country, the fair attracted representatives from over 80 countries and more than 500 professional buyers. From the first day of the event, the booths representing the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus saw high levels of interest.
The fair brought together various sectors such as fruits, vegetables, food, and food technologies and showcased a range of products from Turkish Cypriot producers. This provided them with an opportunity to promote their products in international markets.
Key Figures Visit the Fair
Among the notable visitors on the first day of Interfresh Eurasia 2026 were the Fifth President Ersin Tatar and Dr. Mehmet Ali Kılıçkaya, the General Director of Exports at the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey. Additionally, AK Party Izmir Deputy Rıfat Sait, KKTC Izmir Consul General Mustafa Davulcu, KKTC Department of Industry Director Elmas Kavunoğlu, and the President of the Macedonia Chamber of Commerce Nuhi Aliu also toured the fair.
During the visit, information was shared about KKTC’s export products, and discussions were held on establishing new collaborations to enhance exports. Such meetings are considered an important step towards solidifying the presence of Turkish Cypriot products in international markets.
Producers and Cooperatives at the Fair
This event, organized in collaboration with the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry and the Ministry of Economy and Energy of KKTC, featured four industrial companies and four women cooperatives. Among the companies exhibiting at the fair are Kalyoncu Foreign Trade Ltd., Nursaç Import Export Ltd., Dilekler Group, and Cyprus Fruit and Vegetable Management Ltd.
The women cooperatives included Ada Women Development Cooperative Ltd., Entrepreneur Women Development Cooperative, Rural Development Women Cooperative Ltd., and Tatlısu Women Cooperative (TAT-KA KOOP), all aiming to attract attention by showcasing their products.
The participating Turkish Cypriot firms aim to meet directly with international buyers to explore new export markets and develop trade agreements. Interfresh Eurasia 2026 offers significant opportunities for enhancing the visibility of Turkish Cypriot production.
