The Cyprus Women’s Story Association (KÖDER) has successfully completed the filming of the Gülgün Betmezoğlu documentary as part of its “Women Who Add Value to Our Lives” series. The documentary is set to be presented to audiences soon.
KÖDER noted that the filming was supported by the Değirmenlik-Akıncılar Municipality, emphasizing that the story to be presented will also cover the history of the Gülgün brand created by Gülgün Betmezoğlu. The documentary features footage from Betmezoğlu’s own home and her Gülgün Dairy Products business, along with contributions from her family, friends, and employees.
KÖDER’s Efforts Continue
KÖDER President Şenay Ekingen stated that in addition to the documentary, the association will be launching its 5th book and will continue to provide lasting contributions to social memory through 30 documentary projects. Ekingen highlighted that the documentary will convey the importance of Gülgün Betmezoğlu’s family life and entrepreneurial character.
Ekingen emphasized the qualities of determination and strength in women within the dairy sector that are reflected in Gülgün Betmezoğlu, providing insights into the value and content of the documentary. In this context, she thanked the Değirmenlik-Akıncılar Municipality and its Mayor Ali Karavezirler for their support of the project.
Release Date of the Documentary Awaited
KÖDER aims to ensure that the Gülgün Betmezoğlu documentary reaches audiences within this year. This is seen as an important step in highlighting women entrepreneurs and family values in Cyprus. However, the exact timing of the documentary’s release remains uncertain.
