Sıla Usar İncirli, the leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), emphasized the need for the country to enter a new phase. She stated that they would move forward with a comprehensive roadmap regarding the economy, institutional structure, and social sphere. İncirli pointed out that the quality of services provided by public institutions has declined, negatively impacting citizens.
According to İncirli’s statements, state institutions will be strengthened in line with the principles of merit, transparency, digitalization, and accountability. The CTP delegation expressed that they would consider citizens’ needs in implementing such reforms.
CTP visited the Turkish Cypriot Pensioners Association, meeting with the association’s president, Özer Çelik, and its members. During the meeting, crucial issues such as economic difficulties, the social security system, and access to healthcare were discussed. Members of the association had the opportunity to present their demands regarding the problems they face.
İncirli highlighted the economic struggles of retirees and low-income groups, stating that they would prioritize social justice. She noted that one of their goals is to support the groups that need the most assistance.
Additionally, she stressed the need to strengthen public services and to design social policies in a way that addresses these needs as a priority. CTP announced that it would take steps in line with these objectives.
