The Cultural Affairs Department has announced that the opening of the 34th National Photography Competition exhibition will take place on August 19. This special exhibition coincides with World Photography Day.
Opening Details
The exhibition, to be held at the Atatürk Cultural Center, will be inaugurated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, who will kick off the event at 7:30 PM.
Awards and Exhibited Works
In the competition announced on June 15, awards will be given to various participants. Among the award winners are Atila Karaderi, Besime Tanul, Elif Yılmaz, Fazilet Avukat, Hiba Mokalled Topcuoğlu, and Mehmet Gökyiğit. Mention awards will also go to Atila Karaderi, Elif Yılmaz, Mehmet Gökyiğit, and Tevfik Ulual. Special awards will be presented to Fergün Ulual and Hasan Bağlar.
This year, the award for the most exhibited works by a photographer goes to Atila Karaderi, who will showcase 11 pieces in the exhibition.
The exhibition will feature a total of 81 works from 25 photographers across categories such as “Free”, “Nature”, “My City: Nicosia”, “Conceptual”, “Architectural”, “Ayer Kaşif Works”, and “Underwater Photography: The Seas of Northern Cyprus”, in addition to the award-winning photographs. The exhibition will remain open for visitors at the Atatürk Cultural Center until Friday, August 28.
