KTSO Listens to Industrialists in Alayköy
The Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTSO) visited the Alayköy Organized Industrial Zone to understand the issues faced by local industrialists. The delegation included KTSO Board Members Metin Oral, İrfan Yılmaz, Efe Özman, and Tuygun Töre, as well as Secretary General Erçin Tekakpınar and Board Advisor Belgin Özoğul. During the visit, industrialists provided detailed information on the current situation in the region and voiced their problems and demands.
Infrastructure Issues and Search for Solutions
During the discussions, key issues such as infrastructure deficiencies, water supply problems, road conditions, and cleaning services were raised. Industrialists indicated that there needs to be more effective cooperation between the central government and local authorities. They also emphasized ongoing issues with roads in the second phase, water shortages, sewage deficiencies, and inadequacies in vacuum truck services.
The KTSO delegation stated that they would take notes on the industrialists’ problems and plan to discuss these matters with the relevant institutions. They expressed commitment to various initiatives aimed at preserving and increasing the production capacities of the Alayköy Organized Industrial Zone. This visit was viewed as an important step in better understanding the needs of industrialists and developing solutions to address them.
