Details and Activities of the Camp
The Cultural, Arts, and Science Summer Camp, organized for the 18th time by the Baraka Cultural Center, was held in Yesilirmak from August 6 to 9. Each year, the camp has a different theme, and this year’s motto was “Baraka is 25 Years Old.” Participants experienced a vibrant array of activities.
During the camp, activities such as theater and poetry workshops were offered, along with various competitions and fun games. Participants collaborated to create a play corner, enjoying themselves while fostering teamwork.
Presentations and Visual Activities
One of the significant activities of the camp was a documentary screening titled “Baraka’s First 10 Years from 2001 to 2011.” Participants also had the opportunity to visit the historical Soli Basilica, gaining both cultural and educational experiences.
Prof. Dr. Ali Övgün delivered an impressive presentation on the theme of “A Journey from the Story of the Universe to Black Holes, Artificial Intelligence, and the Future of Science.” This presentation aimed to deepen the participants’ understanding of science.
At the end of the event, the Baraka Youth Orchestra and the Sol Anahtarı music group performed a concert. Additionally, participants were awarded “smallest ecological footprint” awards to raise environmental awareness.
