The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) hosted a significant meeting by welcoming the Cyprus Turkish Businesspeople Association (İŞAD). The meeting took place at the CTP Headquarters, focusing on the current issues facing the business world, particularly economic difficulties. Comprehensive discussions also took place regarding potential solutions.
During the discussions, emphasis was placed on the need for creating new job opportunities to prevent brain drain and specifically increase employment opportunities for young people. In this context, CTP’s General President, Sıla Usar İncirli, highlighted the necessity of restoring a climate of trust to overcome economic problems.
Establishing Trust and Creating a Fair Economic Structure
İncirli addressed the importance of establishing trust in the investment climate and creating a predictable, regulated economic structure. She stated that creating a fair environment in the business world is one of the key factors, explaining that the government CTP aims to establish adopts the understanding of “joint governance.” İncirli also acknowledged the value of İŞAD’s projects, stating that such proposals will be precious in the future.
Another important aspect of the meeting was the information shared by the İŞAD delegation regarding their contacts in Ankara. The delegation reported that they had the opportunity to closely monitor developments in the technology sector and shared their suggestions for addressing the necessary legal gaps to adapt these technologies to Cyprus.
Building a Fair and Transparent System through Consultation
CTP pledged to operate through consultation to create a fair, transparent, and accountable system. This approach was noted to hold significant importance in CTP’s future policies. Both CTP and İŞAD emphasized their determination to work together to improve the business environment and economic situation.
