The 33rd International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival has revealed the recipients of this year’s Honorary and Labor Awards. The festival is organized by the Adana Metropolitan Municipality and will take place from September 26 to October 4, 2026, bringing together art lovers.
Honorary Awards Announced
This year’s Honorary Awards will be presented to two notable figures recognized for their contributions to cinema. The first award will be given to the famous director Ferzan Özpetek, known for addressing themes of human relationships and identity in a universal language. The Festival Executive Board noted that Özpetek’s understanding of cinema, which beautifully blends Eastern and Western cultures, is sincerely reflected to the audience.
The other recipient of the Honorary Award is the acclaimed actress Vahide Perçin. It is emphasized that Perçin not only captivates audiences with her character portrayals but also highlights the complexities of human psychology and profound character development.
Labor Awards Winners Announced
The Orhan Kemal Labor Awards, aimed at preserving the cultural values of Adana, will be awarded to three artists this year. Actress Suna Selen, master actor and screenwriter Macit Koper, and director, screenwriter, and producer Aydın Sayman have been awarded the Labor Award.
