Following the announcement of A-Level results, applications for scholarships via the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) for students from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) who wish to pursue higher education in Turkey will begin this Friday. Students must take action to submit their applications within the specified timeframe.
Applications must be made in person to the Higher Education and Foreign Relations Department of the Ministry of Education by Tuesday during working hours at the latest. Students must meet certain criteria to benefit from YTB scholarships. Scholarships are divided into two main categories: “Full Scholarship” and “Placement” options.
Application Requirements and Criteria
TRNC students applying must reside in Northern Cyprus, graduate from high schools in the TRNC, and be under 21 years of age. However, students who graduated from high schools in the Republic of Turkey will not be eligible for these scholarships.
After providing detailed information about the application process, Behçet Çelebi, the Director of the Higher Education and Foreign Relations Department of the Ministry of Education, emphasized the importance of submitting the required documents by the specified dates. These documents constitute the main criteria for evaluating the candidates.
